Minor Hotels’ Banana Island Resort Doha By Anantara is seeking a Beach Guru to oversee the Beach & Recreational area activities, ensuring timely and effective completion of tasks.

You will follow SOPs, maintain and clean recreation spaces, manage towels and laundry stocks, and provide amenities to guests, delivering professional service. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction and collaboration with other departments.

• Follow all guidelines of the Recreation Department SOPs and task lists.
• Full understanding of Recreation facilities and activities.

Responsibilities

• Organize, clean and maintain the entire Recreation Area and back offices.
• Carry out daily cleaning of the facility and weekly/monthly tasks as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, stored securely and towels are managed with the laundry.
• Provide amenities services to guests and clubs, ensuring amenities are always available.
• Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct on and off duty.

As a Beach Guru, you are responsible for ensuring that all Beach &Recreational area activities are completed in a timely and effective way, and your position will include key responsibilities such as:

• Follow all guidelines of the Recreation Department operational Sop’s and task lists as provided.
• Organize, clean and maintain the entire Recreation Area and back offices.
• Carry out daily cleaning of the facility, plus weekly and monthly tasks as assigned by the Recreation Supervisor or Ass. Recreation Manager.
• Ensure that equipment is properly cleaned, stored and is secure when not in use.
• Take towels to and from the laundry ensuring an adequate operational stock is maintained at all times.
• Carry out other duties as required by management from time to time, such as but not limited to lateral service in other parts of the Hotel and overnight cleaning.
• Ensure excellent customer service and standards at all times as well as behaving in a professional manner when on and off duty.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all the companies and department, policies and procedures.
• Set up workstation(s) with necessary supplies along with maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Focus attention on guests needs while remaining calm and courteous, and accommodate to all guest requests expediently and courteously.
• Full understanding of the Recreation’s activities and events Services.
• Provide amenities services to Clubs and Hotels guests, as outlined in SOP or as directed by supervisor.
• Ensure that the amenities are always available for our guests.
• Other Duties: Perform all tasks as detailed in daily task list and check list.
• Full understanding of the Recreation Facilities and activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of work area of all times.
• Participate in work related project teams.
• Develop and maintain a strong working environment with the other departments.
• To have a complete knowledge of the products and services offered by the hotel, and in particular all the sports and leisure activities and equipment in the hotel.
• Ensure proper accounting procedures are followed when collecting of charging fees for Recreation.
• Be prepared to assume other Recreation duties or responsibilities as requested by management.
• Drive revenues for the department.
