Qatar Airways Group is seeking a Third Commis to support daily food preparation and mise-en-place in a fast-paced kitchen. You will assist the chefs and supervisors to ensure hygiene, safety, and recipe standards are followed, contributing to smooth kitchen operations in a dynamic, international environment.

The role emphasizes cleanliness, proper storage, and adherence to FIFO while supporting the hot kitchen and cold stations as required, under the guidance of senior chefs.

Qualifications

• Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
• Assist in maintaining hygiene standards and documentation for Mise-en-Place and meals.
• Follow FIFO procedures for food handling and storage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in a fast and efficient manner.
• Collect task information and direction from the manager on duty at the start of the shift.
• Assist the section Chef to complete all assigned tasks.
• Complete all mise-en-place and ingredients to be ready for Chefs before cooking.
• Ensure mise-en-place is carried out as per standard recipe specifications.
• Assist in facilitating Hygiene and grooming standards and ensuring they are followed.
• Assist the supervisor in ensuring basic food safety standards are followed.
• Assist the supervisor to follow FIFO procedures for food handling of raw materials and processed food.
