Job summary

Qatar Airways Group is seeking an experienced Baggage Handler in Doha. You will support arrival and departure flights, ensuring strict adherence to SOPs and safety procedures while achieving baggage KPIs.

The role requires familiarity with bag scan systems, handheld scanners, and ramp safety. You will assist in loading/unloading baggage, tracking shipments, and coordinating with supervisors to maintain on-time operations.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy; English communication essential.
• 2 years of job-related experience or High School qualification required.
• Ability to read and interpret LDM/CPM messages.
• Familiarity with bag scan systems and handheld scanners.
• Knowledge of ramp safety and handling of dangerous goods.
• Understanding of flight numbers and three-letter airline codes.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs for arrival/departure flights and safety procedures.
• Achieve baggage KPI targets with the team.
• Check and report baggage serviceability and discrepancies.
• Lead loaders to unload/load bags per SOP and airline requirements.
• Use bag scan systems to track loaded and missing bags and update supervisors.
• Report safety/security issues to the shift supervisor.
• Ensure on-time loading for crew baggage and correct bay allocation.
