Job summary

University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) seeks a faculty member to develop, deliver, and evaluate courses in Occupational Health Safety and Environment within the College of Health Sciences. The successful candidate will liaise with industry, participate in advisory committees, and help coordinate projects within the program area.

Qualifications include a PhD in OHS&E (or a Master/Bachelor in the field), plus professional licensure.

Qualifications

• PhD in Occupational Health Safety and Environment or Master/Bachelor in OHS&E if PhD not in field.
• Professional licensure with a recognized registry/body (IOSH, CRSP, CSP or NEBOSH) is preferred.
• Education-related qualifications (education degree/diploma) and teaching experience preferred at post-secondary level.
• Demonstrated ability to employ diverse teaching approaches and educational technology in classroom and practicum settings.
• Strong commitment to applied and experiential learning and lifelong professional development.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver, and evaluate a broad range of courses in Occupational Health Safety and Environment.
• Liaise with industry and educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees.
• Coordinate, manage, and control projects within the program area.
• Maintain course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes; engage in instructional development and improvement plans.
• Contribute to professional and community life within the University and beyond.
