University of Doha for Science and Technology in Doha invites applications for an OHSE faculty position at Assistant/Associate Professor rank in the College of Health Sciences. The role involves developing and delivering a broad range of courses in Occupational Health Safety and Environment, assessing student progress and coordinating program activities.

The successful candidate will liaison with industry, participate in advisory boards, and contribute to accreditation processes while driving

Qualifications

• PhD in Occupational Health Safety and Environment from a recognized, accredited post-secondary institution is required.
• If PhD is not in Occupational Health Safety and Environment, must hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety.
• Professional licensure and current registration with a recognized OH&S registry/body (e.g., IOSH, CRSP, CSP, NEBOSH) preferred.
• A certificate, diploma or degree in Education and teaching experience at post-secondary level preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate courses in Occupational Health Safety and Environment within the College of Health Sciences.
• Evaluate student progress and manage resources of the learning environment.
• Liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in advisory committees and coordinate projects within the program area.
• Keep course portfolio documents for accreditation processes; engage in instructional development/improvement plans.
• Contribute to professional and community life within the University and beyond.
