Job summary

Qatar Airways seeks an Assembly Assistant II to support the Team Leader in pre-setting First Class, Business Class and Economy Class trays in accordance with HACCP standards and airline specifications.

Based in Doha, you will handle meal pick-up, arrange items in chillers by expiry, and assist in resource allocation to minimize waste while maintaining safety of customer equipment.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy with entry level English communication.
• No prior job-related work experience required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures tray set of FC, JC and YC as per airline specifications and schedule.
• Picks up meals (FC, JC, YC) as per airline specifications and schedule.
• Arranges food items in assembly chillers according to expiry dates and prepares wastage reports.
• Ensures safe handling of customer equipment.
• Reports irregularities to superiors.
• Assists in efficient allocation of resources and reducing wastage.
• Performs other duties as directed by Head of Department.

Description

As a Assembly Assistant Il is responsible for assisting the Team Leader during pre-set of FC (First Class), JC (Business Class) and YC (Economy Class) tray set-up for QR and non-QR flights as per specifications and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) standards.

Accountabilities

• Ensures tray set of FC (First Class), JC (Business Class) and YC (Economy Class) as per airline specifications and schedule.
• Picks up meals (FC, JC, and YC) as per airline specifications and schedule.
• Arranges the food items in Assembly chillers according to their expiry dates and dismantle the load drop and prepare a wastage report accordingly.
• Ensures safe and proper handling of customer equipment.
• Reports to superiors for any irregularity or discrepancies noticed.
• Assists in efficient allocation of resources and reducing wastage.
• Performs other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.

Qualification

Basic Literacy and Numeracy skills, English communication skills with Entry level roles - no prior job-related work experience.

Job Specific Skills

• Basic English Communication and written skills
• Previous experience as a tray setter of any other job in inflight catering company
• Basic knowledge of Airline Catering
• Basic Food Safety and Manual Handling Training
• Knowledge of Airlines Catering and GLP (Galley Loading Plans)
• Knowledge of meal uplift patterns
• Completion of Flight Catering Security training
