Job summary

Qatar Airways in Doha is seeking an entry-level Linen Loader/Unloader to assist with loading, offloading and sorting linen for flights. You will receive allocations from a Team Leader, coordinate with helpers and ensure timely completion while maintaining hygiene and safety standards.

The role focuses on learning processes for galley loading plans and linen packing, with opportunities to improve through on-the-job training and collaboration across the Linen and Uniform team.

• Able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Report stained or damaged linen during the shift.

About the role

To be successful in this role you will be responsible for loading, offloading and sorting linen products for the flights. Assist in dispatching linen products with flights and pick ramp offloads. Maintains hygiene of the working areas to prevent FOD (Foreign Object Debris).

To achieve success in this role you will need to:

• Receive job allocation and work instructions from a Team Leader or Uniform and Linen Agent.


• Attend allocated trainings


• Ensure to have proper communication with a Team Leader or Uniform and Linen Agent.


• Responsible for loading, offloading and sorting linen products for the flights.


• Coordinate with a small group of Laundry Helpers and Agency employees and ensures timely completion of allocated job.


• Understand the Galley loading plan, Linen packing plans: aircraft configurations etc, Checks work schedule and packs linen batch wise.


• Reports of all stained and damaged linen product found during the shift.


• Ensures to follow safety of self, colleagues and the property while performing the allocated job.


• Ensures to practice the highest standard of personal premises and equipment hygiene at all times.


• Perform other department duties related to his/her position as directed by the Head of the Department.
