Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a Senior Architectural & Fire Life Safety Engineer with 10+ years of experience to oversee architectural supervision and fire life safety for data center projects in Doha. You will coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, and authorities to ensure design compliance and safe operation.

The role requires expertise in Civil Defense regulations, building envelope coordination, and검 industry best practices. Data center experience and UPDA/MMUP Grade A are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture Engineering, Fire Engineering or equivalent.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A.
• Fire/life safety & QCDD-related experience.
• Data Center Experience (at least 1 project in last 5 years) preferred.
• 10+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead architectural supervision for data center construction, ensuring compliance with drawings and specs.
• Monitor architectural finishes, building envelope, façade systems, and external works for quality and compliance.
• Review and inspect fire and life safety installations for codes and Civil Defense requirements.
• Verify proper fire-rated walls, compartmentation, fire stopping, penetrations, and smoke containment.
• Review escape routes, emergency exits, and egress provisions for occupant safety.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, fire protection specialists, contractors, and authorities to resolve site issues.
• Interface with Civil Defense and authorities for inspections, approvals, testing, and certification.
• Review contractor submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements for architectural and fire safety works.
• Monitor façade and building envelope installations for performance and constructability.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews, identifying non-conformities and corrective actions.
• Ensure coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and fire protection systems to avoid clashes.
• Support testing, commissioning, IST, and readiness assessments related to fire and life safety systems.
• Prepare inspection reports, technical observations, snagging reports, and progress updates for management and clients.
• Monitor contractor performance and closure of observations.

The role will be responsible for overseeing architectural and fire safety implementation for data center projects, ensuring compliance with design requirements, Civil Defense regulations, applicable codes, and industry best practices.

Your role

• Lead architectural supervision activities for data center construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor architectural finishes, building envelope, façade systems, and external works to ensure quality and compliance standards are achieved.
• Review and inspect fire and life safety installations to ensure conformity with design intent, applicable codes, and Civil Defense requirements.
• Verify proper implementation of fire-rated walls, compartmentation systems, fire stopping materials, penetration sealing, and smoke containment measures.
• Review and monitor escape routes, emergency exits, egress provisions, and occupant safety requirements throughout construction.
• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, fire protection specialists, contractors, and authorities to resolve design and site-related issues.
• Interface with Civil Defense and relevant authorities for inspections, approvals, testing, and certification requirements.
• Review contractor submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements related to architectural and fire safety works.
