Job summary

Galfar Engineering and Contracting W.L.L is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to manage electrical construction activities and deliverables on Data Center projects. The role ensures critical electrical systems are installed safely on schedule and in compliance with project specifications and reliability requirements.

The candidate will prepare and review shop drawings, MIRs, method statements and RFIs, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, review BOQs, and support procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, UPDA preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of electrical construction experience, including 2+ years in data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong knowledge of MV/LV systems, UPS, Generators, switchgear, and data center infrastructure.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Revit and reviewing electrical drawings and SLDs.
• Preferred experience on hyperscale data center projects and knowledge of Uptime Institute Tier Standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction activities and engineering deliverables for Data Center projects.
• Prepare and review shop drawings, technical submittals, MIRs, method statements, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and site issues; review BOQs and support material procurement.
• Oversee installation of MV/LV systems, transformers, switchgear, busducts, and power cabling; supervise UPS, generators, ATSs, and PDUs.
• Implement QA/QC procedures and support testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and handover.

Engineering Technical Support

Prepare and review shop drawings technical submittals MIRs method statements and RFIs Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design and site issues Review BOQs and support material procurement and tracking Prepare as-built drawings and handover documentation

Site Construction Execution

Supervise installation of MV LV systems transformers switchgear busducts cable containment and power cabling Oversee installation of UPS systems generators ATSs PDUs and related critical power infrastructure Monitor subcontractor performance progress quality and safety compliance Ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications and industry standards

Quality Commissioning Support

Implement QA QC procedures and conduct inspections Support testing pre-commissioning commissioning and punch-list closeout activities Verify installation quality and readiness for handover
