Job summary

Kentz is seeking a Piping/Mechanical Inspector/Engineer – QA/QC based in Doha, Qatar. The role supports the Project Quality Program and IMS across EPC projects, ensuring client requirements are met through inspections and meticulous record-keeping.

Responsibilities include carrying out ITP-based inspections, coordinating with client reps, generating RFIs, and maintaining calibration and QA/QC documentation. Brownfield project experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical/piping inspections within EPC or brownfield contexts.
• Strong QA/QC background for projects, with attention to client specs.
• Preferably experience with brownfield projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
• Inspect production quality to ensure client requirements are met.
• Record deviations and maintain IMS documentation and records.
• Coordinate with client representatives to ensure timely inspections.
• Generate RFIs with notice for Hold, Witness and Inspection points.
• Maintain surveillance inspections and document deviations from QA/QC programs.
• Check calibration status of test equipment prior to use.
• Support construction teams regarding the Project Quality Program and IMS.
• Maintain thorough records of inspection and surveillance reports.

PIPING/MECHANICAL INSPECTOR/ENGINEER - QA/QC

Due to expansion and growth, we currently have a requirement for a Piping/Mechanical Inspector/Engineer – QA/QC, based in Qatar.

Responsibilities

• Attend all necessary inspections as identified in the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).


• Inspect the production quality to establish if the client requirements are being achieved.


• Shall perform a variety of inspection functions under supervisionRecord and document any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).


• Coordinate with the client representatives to ensure that inspections are carried out expediently.


• Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for Hold, Witness and Inspection points.


• Continually carry out surveillance inspections on the project recording and documenting any and all deviations from the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS).


• Review the calibration status of any test equipment being utilized on the project ensuring the equipment is within calibration prior to use.


• Provide support and advice to the construction personnel in relation to the Project Quality Program and the Company Integrated Management System (IMS)Maintain a good working relationship with all Kentz and Client personnel.


• Maintain good record keeping of activities carried out and inspection reports, surveillance reports, etc.
