Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Qatar is seeking a qualified QA / QC Engineer to oversee quality control in ongoing oil & gas and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in similar roles, with a strong preference for candidates familiar with QatarEnergy projects. Responsibilities include implementing QA / QC procedures, conducting site inspections, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Certifications in ISO and other relevant credentials are advantageous.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years experience in QA / QC roles within oil & gas or industrial EPC projects.
• Previous experience in QatarEnergy projects is highly preferred.
• Certified in ISO 9001 : 2015 Lead Auditor; additional certifications (CSWIP, NDT Level II, BGAS, etc.) are an advantage.

Job description

We are seeking a qualified and experienced QA / QC Engineer to join our team for ongoing oil & gas and industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have solid experience working with QatarEnergy projects and a strong understanding of quality control, inspection procedures, and project specifications in the EPC environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain QA / QC procedures and inspection plans in compliance with project requirements.
• Review and approve ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
• Conduct site inspections, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Monitor welding, coating, hydrotesting, and fabrication activities for compliance with approved procedures.
• Manage NCRs, corrective actions, and quality documentation.
• Support project teams during audits, surveillance, and handover documentation.
• Ensure compliance with QatarEnergy and international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Civil, or related Engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5-8 years experience in QA / QC roles within oil & gas or industrial EPC projects.
• Previous experience in QatarEnergy projects is highly preferred.
