Job summary

Qatar Foundation International seeks an experienced fundraising and sponsorship professional to lead partnerships, optimize revenue opportunities, and allocate resources across divisions to ensure deliverables are met and impact is maximized.

You will cultivate sponsors and donors, analyze market landscapes, set short-, medium-, and long-term targets, manage a diverse portfolio, and collaborate with local and international stakeholders to align funding with QF strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field required.
• 8–10 years of full-time experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in fundraising and sponsorship programs recommended.
• Strong knowledge of fundraising principles and data-informed strategies.
• Excellent organization, planning, and prioritization abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead sponsorship and revenue-generating partnerships and manage local/global relationships.
• Support fundraising strategy, market analysis, and setting short/medium/long-term targets.
• Identify and develop diverse funding streams aligned with QF strategy.
• Coordinate with Government Affairs, Legal, and Audit on compliance and governance.
• Oversee donation processes and ensure efficient and correct dissemination of funds.
• Engage with diverse stakeholders including local and international companies and high-profile individuals.

Key Result Areas

• Sponsorship and Revenue-generating Partnerships:
• Responsible for local and global relationship management of sponsors and commercial partners.
• Work closely with QF divisions in allocating resources for partnership opportunities and ensuring deliverables are met.
• Cultivate relationships with prospective sponsors and commercial partners proactively and in a self-sufficient manner.
• Creatively input and adapt sponsorship offering to stay ahead of sponsorship landscapes.
• Create map of potential targets, using strong analytical judgment.
• Target leads and find conversion, adjusting course while learning from market reaction, keeping tracks of learning points.

Fundraising

• Support fundraising strategy including analyzing market landscape; fundraising potential of the Foundation; and setting short, medium, and long-term targets.
• Support on annual fundraising planning process to produce effective strategies to achieve income targets across a range of income streams.
• Identify and analyze new, diverse funding streams locally and globally.
• Identify how funds should be allocated to high impact areas aligned with QF corporate strategy.
• Manage and engage with diverse stakeholders including local and international companies and high-profile individuals.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of strategic initiatives with potential for revenue-generation through sponsorship, fundraising and donations.
• Liaise with Government Affairs, Legal and Audit departments on complying with government regulations.

Oversee and ensure processes are in place and being followed to ensure donations and funds raised can be attained and disseminated efficiently and correctly.

Perform other relevant duties and responsibilities when assigned by the supervisor.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field & 8-10 years of relevant full-time work experience, 3 of which at a supervisory level
• Other relevant professional qualifications and experience, professional memberships, leadership experience, published work in peer-reviewed publications, special recognitions, and achievements, etc., are strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a fundraising capacity and/or managing or administrating sponsorship programs.
• Knowledge and understanding of fundraising principles and practice and how to use data to inform fundraising strategy and identify prospective sponsors.
• Excellent organization skills with a methodical approach to planning, analysis, presentation of information and an ability to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.
• Confident and outgoing nature, with excellent understanding of local culture and business environment required to build partnerships with sponsorship potential.
• Exemplary interpersonal, and communication skills both written and verbal, ability to quickly build trust and relationships; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
