HumanIT Digital Consulting is seeking a WMS Engineer (Blue Yonder Dispatcher) to own stability and evolution of warehouse management systems across sites. You will design, implement, and improve monitoring, alerts and automated processes, collaborating with IT and business units to align solutions with architectural standards.

The role requires strong SQL/PLSQL, Unix/Linux, shell scripting, and programming in C#, Java, or Python, with experience integrating WMS with external APIs.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Join the IT organization of a global transport and logistics company operating in more than 80 countries, supporting road, air, sea, and contract logistics with end-to-end supply chain and freight solutions. This role puts you at the core of warehouse operations technology, owning the stability and evolution of Warehouse Management Systems that keep regional sites running.

PROJECT & CONTEXT

You will design, implement, and continuously improve monitoring, alerting, and self-healing mechanisms for WMS platforms, ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of production applications by proactively identifying and resolving root causes of incidents. You'll collaborate with IT and business departments to deliver requirements using standard warehouse solutions, identifying gaps where enhancements are needed, conduct IT Solution Reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and architectural guidelines, and implement automated testing, deployment, and validation practices. You'll also drive continuous improvement of standard warehouse solutions to enable faster, more predictable rollouts across regional sites, contribute to regional and global WMS standards, and maintain and enhance WMS and surrounding applications with a strong focus on standardization, reusability, and documentation.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR (Required)

• Minimum 6+ years of professional experience in transportation, logistics, or supply chain-related IT roles
• Mandatory experience with a Warehouse Management Solution (Blue Yonder Dispatcher WMS)
• Good knowledge of and experience with relational databases, SQL, and PL/SQL
• Knowledge of infrastructure landscapes and proficiency in Unix/Linux commands
• Expert-level Shell scripting
• Ability to understand, formulate, and challenge functional specifications from the business
• Strong, practical application/API design skills and a programming background (C#, Java, or Python)
• Proven ability to integrate WMS with external applications using APIs or web services
• Thoroughness in system design and testing with minimal supervision
• Experience in the supply chain domain and project implementation
• B2 English (Upper Intermediate) or above

NICE TO HAVE (Preferred)

• Ability to set up and maintain pipeline scripts, such as Jenkins/Groovy
• Experience with cloud-native platform tools and microservices
• General knowledge of working with different third-party software providers
• Knowledge of systems life cycle, covering functional and technical solution design and architecture design
