ALTEN Portugal is seeking a rigorous and detail‑oriented engineer to join our Engineering division, focusing on railway sector projects. You will analyse design documentation, review test protocols, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across national and international contexts.

The role requires hands‑on testing in static and dynamic environments, incident management during validation, and drafting official test reports. Occasional travel is expected during the first year.

Qualificações

• Experience carrying out test protocols and executing them, preferably in railway sector.
• Advanced level of English.
• Knowledge of railway regulations and systems.
• Experience working with suppliers and clients, national and international.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally during the first year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analysis of design documentation to ensure compliance with client requests and portugal regulatory requirements
• Review of protocols for product and system testing
• Management of traceability between tests and design requirements
• Execution of tests in static and dynamic environments
• Management of incidents and modifications during the different tests of the validation phase
• Execution of troubleshooting tests
• Drafting and issuing official test reports
• Defining the product's testing strategy
• Defining the test plan

Requirements:

• Degree/Industrial Engineering background, preferably Mechanical
• Experience carrying out test protocols and executing them, preferably in the railway sector
• Advanced level of English
• Knowledge of railway regulations and systems
• Experience working with suppliers and clients, both national and international
• Experience with mechanical and pneumatic systems (HVAC, Brakes, Doors) is a plus
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally during the first 12 months, for periods exceeding two weeks per month
