iTRTech Group is a Portuguese company seeking a mid-level Test Manager / Technical Project Manager for remote Europe. The role focuses on testing across Telecom Core Networks, IMS, and coordinating internal teams with external partners to deliver reliable telecom solutions.

You will shape test strategies, oversee execution, ensure traceability in ALM/Jira, and report progress to stakeholders. English B2+ is required; based anywhere in Europe with a remote work model.

About The Opportunity

Help ensure the quality of telecommunications services through testing initiatives across Telecom Core Networks, with a particular focus on IMS for fixed and mobile environments.

In this role, you will combine test management with technical project coordination, shaping test strategies, overseeing execution and bringing internal teams and external partners together to deliver reliable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project deliverables to identify the appropriate testing approach.
• Define, manage and execute the project test strategy, coordinating contributions from internal teams and third-party partners.
• Ensure requirements traceability within test management tools such as ALM and Jira.
• Produce clear progress reports throughout test planning and execution.
• Manage test quality checkpoints, including TRR and TER.
• Monitor testing schedules, dependencies and delivery progress.
• Manage and track defects through to resolution.

Essential Requirements

• 3+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing testing activities within Telecom Core Network projects, particularly IMS in fixed and mobile environments.
• Experience developing test strategies, rectification plans and risk-based testing approaches.
• Familiarity with test management tools, including ALM and Jira, and requirements traceability.
• Experience with testing tools covering automation, tracing, debugging, traffic generation, stubs and simulators.
• Experience working with different delivery methodologies, such as Waterfall, Agile and DevOps.
• Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical teams.
• Ability to build effective working relationships across teams and external partners.
• A bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• English B2+, spoken and written.
• Currently based in Europe.

Preferred Qualifications

• Mobile telecommunications experience involving Nokia technologies or environments.
• An industry-recognised testing or test management certification, such as ISEB or ISTQB.

You combine practical knowledge of telecom core networks and IMS with the organisational skills needed to coordinate testing across multiple teams. You can translate project requirements into a clear test strategy, prioritise testing according to risk and keep stakeholders informed about progress and quality.

You are comfortable investigating technical issues, managing defects and schedules, and working with third-party partners. You bring a structured, collaborative approach and take ownership of testing activities from planning through completion.
