Job summary

KWAN in Lisbon is looking for a UI Frontend Engineer Tech Lead to drive front-end architecture and deliver scalable React applications in a dynamic environment.

You will mentor peers, collaborate with backend teams, optimize performance, and help implement a shared design system using Tailwind CSS and modern tooling.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of advanced React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience as a Tech Lead.
• Proficient with Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3, responsive UI.
• Experience with real-time WebSockets and REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Strong focus on performance and UX improvements.
• Experience building dashboards and analytics views.
• Experience with automated testing (Jest/Vitest, Cypress or Playwright).
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, Docker, and containerized environments.

Требования:

• 8+ years of advanced expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript.
• 3+ years of experience working as a Tech Lead.
• Proficiency in Tailwind CSS, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, adaptive UI development, and component-driven development.
• Deep experience handling real-time, high-frequency WebSockets, as well as REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Proven ability to optimize browser rendering and UI performance, processing fast-streaming data without blocking the UI thread.
• Experience building operational monitoring interfaces, analytics views, KPI visualizations, and data-dense dashboards.
• Demonstrated knowledge of core software engineering practices, including clean code, maintainability, refactoring, secure coding, performance optimization, error handling, and observability.
• Hands-on experience with automated testing practices, including unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing (e.g. Jest/Vitest, Cypress or Playwright).
• Proficiency with modern development tools, including Git, pull requests, CI/CD pipelines, modern build tools, package managers, and dependency management.
• Experience working with Docker and containerized development environments within Agile product teams.
