Siemens is offering a 12-month paid Internship in Controlling and Finance Assurance (CF A). You will learn how to identify risks in digital environments, support audit planning, and collaborate with data analytics teams across global projects.

The program emphasizes lifelong learning, mentoring, online courses, and a hybrid work model with 2–3 office days per week. Applicants should have a completed degree in CS/Software engineering or related field and a curious, agile mindset.

As Siemens is creating technology to transform the everyday for everyone, the Technology & Financial Audit Practice plays a pivotal role in providing assurance to the Managing Board and the Audit Committee. We cover a wide range of technology and finance‑related global audit topics such as assurance over entire digital ecosystems, AI and data governance, SW development, major IT transformations, customer project execution, organizational maturity at small / mid‑size entities, sustainability reporting or new digital products and business models. CF A is committed to fostering growth from day one. Our 12‑month traineeship supports learning and career development through continuous upskilling. What part will you play?

• Support in identifying key risks in Siemens’s digital environments - on premise as well as in the cloud - that form the backbone of our company, major IT transformation projects, new digital products and business models.
• Assist in the preparation, planning and execution of the defined audit program steps to ensure that all risks and controls are identified
• Engage in improving and promoting digital use cases that increase coverage and the overall assurance in cooperation with our data analytics team.
• Participate in meetings with auditees and key stakeholders to present the team’s conclusions and recommended improvements.
• Actively contribute to shaping the future of the department by identifying priorities and implementing changes.
• Support in audit engagements using CF A´s Agile Audit Framework.
• Build your network in Siemens CF A and various Siemens businesses and functions.

What You Need To Make Real What Matters.

• Completed degree (Bachelor or Masters), ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Foundational experience in at least one of the following areas: IT risk management and assurance, strategic IT projects, implementing digital use cases, state‑of‑the‑art technology (e.g. artificial intelligence), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), data processing/storage/analytics technologies (engineering, processing, data bases) or software development methodology (DevOps, CI/CD).
• Understanding of IT risk management and assurance principles, along with basic logic programming is beneficial.
• Agile mindset, with a strong ability to collaborate in a cross‑functional environment.
• Excellent communication skills to summarize and describe audit results.
• International experience as an intern, working student or semester abroad is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and embracing our hybrid working model with 2-3 office days per week
