TeamViewer is seeking a senior engineering leader to drive a portfolio of backend services and to grow a team of Team Leads across multiple agile teams. You will shape architecture, influence roadmaps, and ensure high security and reliability while mentoring leaders and engineers.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, collaboration with product management, and fostering a culture of open communication and accountability in a hybrid work environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• 4+ years in a managerial role within software development, ideally in agile environments.
• 1+ years leading leaders (Team Leads or Engineering Managers).
• Proven track record of leading multiple teams building and operating backend services in production.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, and lifecycle.
• Experience with high security/reliability requirements is a plus.
• Strategic planning, team building and performance management, including onboarding Team Leads.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence across teams.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese or German is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Ensure backend meets high standards for availability, performance, security and compliance.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams across the company on integration and scalable solutions.
• Oversee capacity planning, resource allocation and hiring to support growth.
• Promote engineering excellence and agile best practices across development, testing, deployment and operations.
• Support the professional development of your team through coaching and career planning.
• Act as a key link between engineering and senior management, translating progress and risk into updates.
• Champion a culture of open communication, psychological safety, ownership and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a group of Team Leads, helping them grow as people managers and technical leaders, while supporting engineers directly where needed.

Requirements

• A university or college degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a solid understanding of modern development practices.

• 4+ years in a managerial role within software development, ideally in an agile environment.

• 1+ years of experience leading leaders (Team Leads or Engineering Managers), including coaching them, managing their performance and growing them into stronger leaders.

• Proven track record of leading multiple teams building and operating backend services in production through a layer of Team Leads.

• Strong understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, scalability, and the full development and operations lifecycle.

• Experience with services that have high requirements for security, reliability and backward compatibility is a strong plus.

• Experience in strategic planning, team building and performance management, including hiring and onboarding Team Leads.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and inspire across teams and stakeholders.

• Fluent in English (spoken and written); Portuguese or German is a plus.
