Vodafone Portugal is seeking a senior tax professional to lead tax planning and compliance, ensuring timely tax declarations and tax optimization across operations. You will guide the Tax team, collaborate with internal teams and external auditors, and steer enhancements of tax processes in line with Group standards and regulatory requirements.

The role demands strategic thinking, strong English proficiency, and extensive experience in Portuguese and international tax planning.

Qualificações

• Degree in Accounting /Management/ Taxation.
• 6 years’ experience in taxation, ideally in a multinational or consulting setting.
• Degree in Accounting/ Management/ Taxation with 4-6 years’ experience in tax consultancy.
• Expertise in International Tax Planning & Portuguese Taxation;
• Analytical and decision-making skills for assessing tax risks and providing sound judgement;
• Collaboration and communication skills to work with internal teams, tax authorities, advisors, and auditors;
• In-depth knowledge of international and Portuguese tax legislation;
• Experience working with SAP is a plus;
• High proficiency in English

What You’ll Do

• Implement and optimise tax planning strategies in accordance with both local and Group requirements, identifying opportunities for tax benefits;
• Ensure all tax returns, payments, and reporting obligations are accurate and submitted within legal deadlines;
• Manage tax appeal processes, liaise with tax auditors, and ensure Vodafone’s position is well-supported and defended;
• Define, review, and approve internal/external tax procedures and group tax reporting, ensuring alignment with Group and local rules;
• Provide tax support to business projects, monitor tax changes, and promote necessary internal adaptations to maintain compliance

Who You Are
