Vodafone Group Plc is seeking a Public Affairs professional in Portugal to support the implementation of Vodafone’s Public Affairs strategy and advocacy work, ensuring alignment with business priorities and compliance with national and European frameworks. You will provide support to strategic projects and position Vodafone Portugal as a credible stakeholder in telecom and digital sectors.

Qualificações

• Degree in Economics, Law, Political Science, or related field.
• Strong writing, analytical and research skills.
• English and Portuguese language proficiency (spoken and written).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholder relationships.

Responsabilidades

• Monitor national and EU policy developments to inform leadership.
• Prepare summaries, briefings, presentations and internal updates.
• Draft consultation responses, position papers and institutional communications.
• Stakeholder mapping, meeting prep, engagement and follow-up.
• Support responses to information requests, liaising with internal teams.
• Represent Vodafone in industry associations and meetings with stakeholders.
• Deliver timely monitoring, research and briefing materials.
• Contribute to advocacy quality and policy wins.

What you’ll do

• Monitor industry trends and relevant national and EU policy developments to provide senior leadership of emerging risks/opportunities and informed positions;
• Prepare summaries, briefings, presentations and internal updates;
• Support the drafting of consultation responses, position papers and institutional communications;
• Stakeholder mapping, meeting preparation, engagement and follow-up activities;
• Support responses to information requests, ensuring compliance and liaising with internal teams as needed;
• Represent Vodafone in industry associations and meetings with key external stakeholders;
• Timely and accurate delivery of monitoring, research and briefing materials;
• Quality of advocacy contributions;
• Effective stakeholder engagement plans, representation and policy wins.

Who you are

• Degree in Economics, Law, Political Science, or related field;
• Strong interest in the telco and digital policy matters;
• Strong writing, analytical and research skills;
• Good organisation, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities;
• Collaborative approach, excellent communication skills and ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships;
• Experience or willingness to develop policy expertise and stakeholder engagement capabilities;
• Initial experience or strong interest in public affairs, regulatory affairs, telco and digital policy or European affairs would be valued;
• English and Portuguese language (spoken and written).
