Aubay Portugal is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design and integrate power distribution systems for major infrastructure projects. You will manage requirements, develop documentation, and coordinate multi-discipline activities to ensure successful delivery.

Qualificações

• Bachelors in Electrical/Electrotechnical engineering or related field.
• Proven design and integration experience for electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience in industrial, transport, railway or infrastructure projects.
• Experience sizing UPS systems.
• Experience sizing battery systems.
• Experience sizing power conversion equipment.
• Experience sizing electrical protection devices.
• Experience with low-voltage distribution boards.
• Experience with electrical power distribution architectures.
• Experience with power cabling and wiring systems.
• Knowledge of load assessment and calculations.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and formalise technical requirements with traceability across the system lifecycle.
• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation for systems and subsystems.
• Plan and coordinate subsystem development, aligning engineering disciplines and stakeholders.
• Define and monitor technical interfaces between systems and stakeholders.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure action follow-up.
• Provide technical support during site installation and ensure correct solution implementation.
• Plan and execute FATs, field testing and commissioning for validation and acceptance.
• Deliver technical training to stakeholders for operation and maintenance.
• Capture, consolidate and implement lessons learned for process improvement.
• Ensure configuration control with the Configuration Manager across the project lifecycle.

What are you doing?

• Manage and formalise technical requirements, ensuring their traceability throughout the system lifecycle.
• Develop, review, and maintain technical documentation for the systems and subsystems under responsibility.
• Plan and coordinate subsystem development activities, ensuring alignment between the different engineering disciplines and project stakeholders.
• Define, manage, and monitor technical interfaces between systems, subsystems, and project stakeholders.
• Actively participate in Design Reviews, providing technical input and ensuring the follow-up and closure of resulting actions.
• Provide technical support during site installation activities, ensuring the correct implementation of the designed solutions.
• Plan and execute FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), field testing, and commissioning activities, ensuring system validation and acceptance.
• Deliver technical training to relevant stakeholders, supporting the correct operation and maintenance of the systems.
• Capture, consolidate, and implement Lessons Learned, contributing to continuous improvement of engineering processes and solutions.
• Ensure technical configuration control, in coordination with the Configuration Manager, maintaining consistency, traceability, and control of system changes throughout the project lifecycle.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience in the design and integration of electrical power distribution systems.
• Experience in industrial, transportation, railway, or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in the sizing and selection of UPS systems.
• Experience in the sizing and selection of battery systems.Experience in the sizing and selection of power conversion equipment.
• Experience in the sizing and selection of electrical protection devices.
• Experience with low-voltage distribution boards.
• Experience with electrical power distribution architectures.
• Experience with power cabling and wiring systems.
• Knowledge of electrical load assessment and load calculations.
