Job summary

Next Engineering is seeking an experienced Linux Systems Administrator to strengthen our global trading infrastructure. You will manage Linux environments, automate with Ansible, and optimize performance for low-latency systems.

The role involves on-call rotation and cross-functional collaboration in a hybrid Porto-based setup. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of production Linux experience, strong troubleshooting, and familiarity with monitoring and virtualization tools such as Zabbix,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Linux administration in production environments.
• Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• OS performance tuning for low-latency systems.
• Proven support of mission-critical infrastructure.
• Strong troubleshooting skills (performance, processes, connectivity).
• Scripting skills (Bash and Python).
• Familiarity with monitoring and virtualization tools.
• Ability to work autonomously and in cross-functional teams.
• Manage and optimize global Linux-based trading infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents in a 24/7 environment.
• Perform OS administration, patching, and upgrades.
• Automate operational tasks and improve processes.
• Monitor system health and ensure high availability.
• Support backup, disaster recovery, and continuity processes.
• Collaborate with development, network, and operations teams.
• Participate in on-call rotation when required.

• +5 year s ofLinux administration(RHEL/SLES) experience in production environments;
