Capgemini Engineering is seeking a Storage & Backup Administrator to join our Infrastructure team in Portugal. You will manage storage platforms (SAN/NAS), oversee backup solutions, and contribute to disaster recovery efforts to ensure data availability and resilience.

You'll collaborate with Systems, Cloud, Network and Security teams, maintaining documentation and driving continuous improvements in availability and performance. Hybrid work option available.

Qualificações

• Experience administering storage and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS infrastructures.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions (Veeam/Commvault/NetBackup).
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Basic virtualization knowledge (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Technical English proficiency.

YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a Storage & Backup Administrator to join our Infrastructure team. This role will play a key part in managing, monitoring, and protecting the organization's data, ensuring the availability, performance, and resilience of storage and backup systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and monitor storage platforms (SAN, NAS, and storage arrays).
• Manage backup and data recovery solutions.
• Ensure the execution and monitoring of backup processes.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of disaster recovery strategies.
• Analyze and resolve incidents related to storage and data protection.
• Support infrastructure migration, expansion, and optimization projects.
• Collaborate with Systems, Cloud, Network, and Security teams.
• Implement continuous improvements regarding availability and performance.
• Create and update technical documentation and operational procedures.

YOUR PROFILE

• Experience administering storage and backup solutions.
• Knowledge of SAN and NAS infrastructures.
• Experience with enterprise backup solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, NetBackup, or similar.
• Knowledge of Windows and/or Linux systems.
• Basic knowledge of virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Technical English proficiency.

NICE TO HAVE

• Experience with cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud).
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity.
• Certifications in Storage or Backup.
• Knowledge of PowerShell or automation.
• Experience in hybrid and data center environments.
