Talan Spain is seeking a skilled Java-focused Quant/Data Engineer to join our international team. You will improve batch performance, integrate quant libraries, and maintain CI/CD quality while collaborating with Quants, Data, and IMM teams.

Remote work is available 100%. Experience with Spark, Parquet, and AWS is a plus; solid Java and numerical computing skills are required.

Formación

• Strong Java with focus on performance and memory management.
• Numerical computing with heavy calculations and parallel processing.
• Experience with credit risk internal models is a plus.
• Build & test tools: JUnit, Git, CI/CD.
• Data processing using Spark and Parquet.

Responsabilidades

• Keep quality high by writing tests and keeping CI pipeline green.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Improve performance so the daily batch runs on time.


• Integrate the quant libraries.


• Keep quality high — write tests, fix security findings, keep the CI pipeline green.


• Work closely with Quants, Data, and the IMM team

Qualifications

Mandatory skills:

• Strong Java — good with performance, memory, and multi-threading.


• Numerical computing — comfortable with heavy calculations and parallel processing.

• Data — Spark and Parquet.

Nice to have skills:

• Cloud - Experience with AWS is a plus.


• Finance (nice to have) — basic understanding of risk/XVA.Can be learned on the job.
