Philip Morris International is seeking an AI Platform Architect to shape PMI's enterprise AI platform. You will enable global teams to build, deploy, and govern AI at scale while aligning with data, security and governance strategies.

Within the Data Platform Architecture team, you’ll drive reusable capabilities across ML, generative AI and agentic AI, partnering with engineering for scalable, enterprise-grade platform features and governance across APIs, data platforms and security controls.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data and AI, with 5+ years in architecture roles.
• Proven experience designing enterprise AI or ML platforms.
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, APIs, containers, and Kubernetes.
• Experience with MLOps or AI lifecycle management practices.
• Knowledge of generative AI, RAG, vector search, embeddings, and agentic AI concepts.
• Understanding of security, privacy, identity management, and responsible AI.
• Experience developing architecture standards, reference architectures, and governance frameworks.

About The Role

As an AI Platform Architect, you will shape the future of PMI’s enterprise AI platform, enabling teams globally to build, deploy, and govern AI solutions at scale. Working within the Data Platform Architecture team, you will define reusable platform capabilities across machine learning, generative AI, and agentic AI while ensuring alignment with PMI’s data, security, and governance strategies.

Must‑Haves

Nice‑to‑Haves

• Experience with Azure, AWS, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar platforms.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and platform engineering practices.
• Experience with vector databases, enterprise search, or knowledge graph technologies.
