Job summary

DECSKILL is seeking a SQL Developer in Porto to design and optimize database solutions, monitor critical business processes, and support development teams. You will work with SQL Server and PostgreSQL, implement backups, and help improve data-driven decisions.

The role emphasizes ETL development, performance tuning, and collaboration with APS/Dev teams to ensure high availability and efficient data workflows within client projects.

Qualifications

• Experience in ETL development, optimization, and monitoring using SQL Procedures and Functions.
• Strong root cause analysis skills.
• Expertise in SQL performance tuning, partitioning and indexing.
• Familiarity with Master Data Services and related data management concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.

We are looking for a SQL Developer:

RESPONSABILITIES:

• Designing an implementation of database systems in the Information Systems.
• Monitor and support critical business processes.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stores procedures, and database triggers for data manipulation and reporting.
• Working closely with Development teams to improve the value of business processes outcomes.
• Manage high complex Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQ.
• Administration and maintaining databases in operational conditions.
• Implementing backup systems to ensure the integrity of all database data.
• Ensuring that backups are made in accordance with strategy defined by each business line;"3- EXPERT
• Provide technical support.
• Provide support to developers and APS teams.
• Intervene in the event of incidents which limit the performance of databases or access to information.
• Active participation in post-mortems for major and/or recurring database incidents.
• Ensure technological monitoring to maintain the required performance and availability through visualization tools (e.g Dynatrace, Power BI);3- EXPERT
• Assess and deploy innovative solutions aiming to simply, automate and optimize database costs.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Solid experience with ETL processes Development, optimization and monitoring (SQL Procedures, Functions,..).
• Root cause analysis skills.
• Experience with SQL performance tunning, partitioning and indexing.
• Experience with Master Data Services.
• ITIL 1 - Notions
• DevOps (CI/CD)
• Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, ELK, Zabbix)
