Job summary

Indra Group in Portugal is hiring a Software Engineer for E2E systems in the Space sector. You will join the Space Engineering team to develop software modules with CI/CD and work with Python/Java/C++ on remote sensing data.

You will engage in Agile development, validation campaigns, and performance assessment, while contributing to documentation and reviews via JIRA. English proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• Engineering or master's degree in Aerospace/Telecommunications or related field such as Physics or Maths
• Proficiency in Python/Java/C++ and modern software development practices
• Knowledge in Machine Learning and distributed systems concepts
• Good written and spoken English
• Experience with version control (GIT) and CI/CD
• Experience with remote sensing data and data processing
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and virtualization

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software modules with CI/CD practices.
• Agile development in Python and/or other languages.
• Analyze remote sensing datasets.
• Participate in validation campaigns, test plan definition, and performance assessment.
• Support documentation, reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and customer interactions.
• Report to supervisor using JIRA; collaborate with the team on DISCs and related tasks.
