Job summary

Six Senses Douro Valley in Portugal is seeking an experienced Spa Manager to lead a luxury wellness team from 2027.

You will oversee daily spa operations, drive guest satisfaction, and develop spa programs aligned with Six Senses sustainability practices. Fluency in Portuguese and English and legal right to work in Portugal are required.

Responsibilities

• Review services, products and rates to stay aligned with Six Senses wellness standards.
• Ensure the spa operates efficiently on a day-to-day basis.
• Oversee the guest history and profiling system.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure readiness for daily operations.
• Develop spa packages and programs and adapt spa menu to company updates, local market and guests' requirements.
• Achieve individual and group sales targets; upsell spa treatments, products and packages.
• Maintain documentation, reporting systems, contracts, safety protocols, and service standards.
• Monitor budget and costs to drive profitability.

Job description

Six Senses Douro Valley are currently seeking a experienced Spa Manager, to join them from 2027!

Below are a few of the tasks you will do on a day to day basis:

• Responsible of reviewing services, products and rates to remain relevant and in keeping with Six Senses wellness and sustainability practices.
• Responsible of the efficient operation of the spa.
• Oversee the management of the guest history and profile system.
• Conduct site inspection and ensure all details in place ready for daily operations.
• Responsible that the Visiting Experts calendar is in place and develop spa packages and programs and to adapt spa menu aligning it with company updates, local market and guests’ requirements.
• Achieve individual and group targets in sales as required, as well as promoting the upselling of spa treatments, products, packages, special promotions and Visiting Experts Calendar.
• Maintain documentation, reporting systems, contractual obligations, security and safety protocols, communications, product and service standards.
• Control budget and all costs will be continually monitored and controlled to drive profitability.
  

To be considered for this position, you must have the legal valid right to work in Portugal, speak fluent Portuguese and English and have relevant experience managing a wellness driven team within a luxury hotel environment.
