Job summary

Capgemini Engineering in Portugal is seeking a network engineer to design, deploy and optimize core mobile networks, including HLR, HSS, and EIR. You will work on cloud, virtualization, and VNFs using Kubernetes and Docker while ensuring smooth integration and testing.

You will troubleshoot deployment issues, write technical docs, and manage acceptance activities, collaborating with international teams to deliver state-of-the-art telecom solutions.

Qualifications

• Hands-on design and deployment of core network elements such as HLR/HSS/EIR.
• Experience migrating subscriber databases and integrating SDM solutions.
• Proficiency with Unix/Linux and scripting (Shell, Python, Perl, Ansible).
• Knowledge of 3G/4G/5G networks and HP products.

YOUR ROLE

• Be responsible for Technical writing of relevant docs ( LLD/CIQ/DND /ATP/MOP )
• Manage Test & Acceptance activities

YOUR PROFILE

• Design and implement core network elements like HLR, HSS, AUSF-UDM, SDL, One-NDS, MNP, and EIR.
• Integrate SDM solutions and migrate subscriber databases for HLR, HSS, SDL, EIR, and MNP.
• Experience in cloud, virtualization, and VNF deployments using Kubernetes/Dockers.
• Proficient in Unix/Linux commands and router/switch configuration.
• Strong understanding of HLR, HSS, SDL subscriber profiles and HP products.
• Basic scripting expertise in Shell script, PERL, Python, Ansible.
• Troubleshoot call flow issues and deliver solutions to customers.
• Strong understanding of mobile networks (3G, 4G, 5G) and advanced operating systems.
• Advanced Level English
