Junglee Games India Private Limited in Porto is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Engineer to join our agile development team. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of applications using the latest technologies, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions for our global market.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience with Java (Java8+) and familiarity with high-concurrency platforms. Strong communication skills in Portuguese and English are necessary to support collaboration within the team.

Overview

Software Engineer – Backend Engineer, Mid 1 level. Our developers work independently and set high standards. As a Backend Engineer, you’ll be part of an agile Software Development Team, responsible for the full lifecycle of an application using cutting‑edge technologies to deliver value to our customers while scaling our platform for worldwide markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation.
• Support the Product Owner with requirements and the team with solutions.
• Write unit, component, and integrated tests under QA guidance.
• Program well‑designed, testable, and efficient code to solve business needs.
• Deploy applications in a Continuous Integration platform.
• Test and document implemented solutions.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with Java (preferably Java8+) or an equivalent object‑oriented language.
• Experience with Scala, Kafka, Akka, Memcached, Apache Storm, Apache Cassandra, Zookeeper, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
• Expertise in high‑concurrency, high‑transactional, highly available platforms.
• Familiarity with client‑server protocols such as SOAP and REST.
• Proficiency in established design patterns and reusability techniques (e.g., library extraction, component creation).
