ZF LIFETEC is expanding its Ponte de Lima Plant with a Smart Factory Engineer in the Manufacturing Engineering area. You will implement and configure production IT systems, optimize MES configurations, and develop OCR and machine vision solutions for quality inspection.

This is a temporary replacement position requiring a technical background and international collaboration. The role demands 3+ years of hands-on experience in production IT control, strong English and Portuguese communication,

Qualificações

Academic degree in technical field or equivalent.
3+ years of experience implementing, developing, and configuring IT control and management systems for production processes.
Fluent in English and Portuguese.
Knowledge in Python and data analysis tools.
Understanding of AI concepts and programming.
Knowledge in robots programming.

Responsabilidades

Implement, develop, and configure all products/projects in the production process.
Minimize downtime in the production process by following escalation procedures for unresolved issues.
Configure MES according to client specifications and team standards.
Provide technical support to users in using MES.
Document MES processes/projects in launch phase and serial production.
Manage and resolve incidents within area of responsibility.
Propose improvements to procedures and processes when identified.
Development, implementation, and optimization of OCR systems.
Development and implementation of machine vision systems for quality inspection and automated defect detection.
