TLScontact is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the availability and reliability of our applications, infrastructure, and services in a hybrid setup within Portugal.

You will design, implement and operate systems using Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitLab, focusing on scalable, secure, and high-performance environments across government-facing visa processing platforms.

Qualificações

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes/OpenShift components (Pods, Services, Deployments, Routes, Secrets, ConfigMaps).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify issues and implement corrective actions for reliable production environments.
• CI/CD pipeline development and deployment using GitLab CI/CD and Helm.

If you are based in Portugal or if you have a valid working permit to work in Portugal, we are looking for you! TLScontact is hiring for the role of Site Reliability Engineer.

As an SRE Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the availability and reliability of our applications, infrastructure, and services. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and operating our systems, leveraging industry-leading tools like Ansible, Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitLab. Your expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, Datadog and other technologies will ensure the scalability, performance, and security of our applications.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain Kubernetes/OpenShift components, such as Pods, Services, Deployments, Routes, Secrets, ConfigMaps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential issues, implement corrective actions, and ensure that our production environments are reliable and performant
• CI/CD Pipeline Development and Deployment
• Use Gitlab CI/CD pipelines and Helm to implement/maintain the deployments for all applications
• Create and maintain automation script to reduce redundant tasks
• Infrastructure/Configuration as Code (IaC) Management
• Use Terraform to define and manage our infrastructure as code, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments
• Use Terraform to automate and manage components from Datadog like Monitors, Dashboards, etc.
• Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift configurations and resources as code.
• Troubleshooting and Performance Monitoring
• Monitor and analyze system performance using Datadog, identifying trends and areas for improvement
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely and efficient manner
• Willing to participate in on-call rotations (including nights/weekends) with a structured escalation process.
• Troubleshooting, assisting in incident resolution, and providing support to internal teams.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing
• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure components, scripts, and tools, but also processes ensuring that knowledge is shared across the team

Skills & Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent professional training
• 4 years of experience as SRE, DevOps, or similar roles
• Proficiency with Cloud computing SaaS (AWS preferred)
• Demonstrated experience with Observability solutions (Datadog, Prometheus, ELK)
• Proficiency with Kubernetes, automation and infrastructure-as-code tools (Ansible, Terraform, Packer)
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (GitLab CI)
• Experience working with microservice architecture and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, OKD)
• Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills
• Exposure to international and multicultural work environment
• Fluency in English (B2 level equivalent)
