Hitachi Vantara Corporation in Portugal is seeking a Service Technician to join the field service team in Perafita. You will perform hands-on installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on power transformers and related equipment on-site.

The role requires outdoor work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to follow technical drawings and manuals. You will collaborate across levels in an international environment and support customers with training and troubleshooting as needed.

Qualificações

• High school or technical course completed.
• 4–5 years of professional experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to work outdoors.
• Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese; basic English is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Maintenance and repair of power transformers and accessories, onsite and in workshop.
• Installation and adaptation of accessories and systems.
• Technical support on installed products and equipment.
• Troubleshooting and fault resolution.
• Decide when products should be upgraded or replaced.
• Onsite training for customer support personnel.

Job Description:

The Opportunity

To strengthen our Service team, we are looking for a Service Technician to join us in Perafita, Portugal.

You will provide hands-on field service support, supporting installation, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades. Working on-site, you will apply technical drawings and manuals to ensure safe, reliable equipment performance.

In this role, dynamism, flexibility, attention to detail, and an analytical mindset are key to success. We are seeking a collaborative team player, able to work effectively across different organizational levels within an international environment.

How you will make an impact

• Maintenance and repair of power transformers and its accessories, both in workshop and onsite.

• Installation, adaptation of accessories and systems.

• Technical support on installed products and equipment.

• Troubleshooting, diagnostic, and malfunctions resolution.

• Decision when products should be upgraded or replaced.

• Onsite training for customer support personnel.

Your background

• High school or technical course.

• At least 4/5 years of professional work experience.

• Valid driver´s license.

• Ability to work outdoors.

• You are well versed in the Microsoft Windows environment (MS Server, MS Office).

• Strong communication skills and team spirit.

• Fluent in written and spoken Portuguese. Basic knowledge of English is an advantage.
