OpenProject is seeking a Senior UI/UX Designer to shape the future of our open-source project management software. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, QA and marketing to iteratively improve the product and its interactions.

You will lead design efforts from discovery to polished implementation, balancing ambitious UX with technical realities. You’ll contribute to a design system, collaborate within a cross-functional team, and help evolve the product to empower users

Qualificações

• Proven UI/UX design experience on complex digital products.
• Experience conducting user research and usability testing.
• Strong skills in developing concepts and high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional product teams (engineering, product, QA, marketing).
• Experience maintaining or contributing to a design system.

Responsabilidades

• Collaborate in a product trio to understand user needs and use cases.
• Guide UI/UX process from discovery to polished implementation.
• Create and test high-fidelity mockups in Figma.
• Iterate designs based on feedback from users, engineers, product, and QA.
• Ensure designs translate well into development and support design system evolution.
• Balance ideal UX with technical constraints and delivery timelines.
