Kardex Group, a global leader in automated storage and retrieval solutions, seeks a Senior Software Test & Integration Engineer in Lisbon to strengthen our WES Software EMEA team. You will lead testing, integration, and 2nd‑level support across ERP/WMS interfaces and PLCs, while mentoring junior engineers and coordinating 24/7 shifts.

Based in Lisbon near Parque das Nações, you will collaborate with software consultants, project leaders, and developers to stabilize our warehouse execution

Qualifications

• 5–7 years experience in testing and integrating web/WES/WCS applications.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute test plans for functional, performance, security, and regression testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects; collaborate with Development to resolve issues.
• Define test strategy, best practices, and mentor junior test engineers.
• Ensure test runs and results are delivered within agreed timelines.
• Integrate WES software with customer systems (ERP, WMS, PLC/controls).
• Configure interfaces and commission software onsite with project teams.
• Train customers on system usage and operational workflows.
• Maintain system documentation and ensure plant know-how is up to date.
• Lead complex integration projects and act as technical escalation point.
• Handle escalated incidents in a 24/7 support rotation.
• Troubleshoot issues, analyze root causes, and collaborate with Development on bug fixes.
• Ensure clear documentation and handover between shifts.
• Mentor junior colleagues during support shifts.
• Plan resources and create shift schedules for the support team.
• Ensure knowledge sharing, documentation quality, and onboarding of new team members.
• Drive continuous improvement and challenge existing processes where needed.
