Job summary

Cloudflare Lisbon is seeking an engineer to contribute to a Chromium-based browser and distributed services stack. You will work across C++, Go, Rust, and TypeScript to deliver production-grade software that improves session reliability and performance.

The role involves ownership of features, on-call rotation after onboarding, and collaboration with teams across Cloudflare’s global network. Apply if you enjoy solving hard problems with modern tools.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering production software with C++ proficiency and knowledge of memory ownership, lifetimes, and concurrency.
• Strong Linux/UNIX fundamentals including processes, threads, networking, and diagnostic tools.
• Experience developing or operating distributed systems and service-to-service communication with timeouts and retries.
• Willingness to learn Rust, Go, TypeScript and the rest of the stack.

Responsibilities

• Own well-scoped features from design through testing, rollout, and production follow-up with team support.
• Develop and maintain C++ code in the Chromium-based browser and contribute across services in Go, Rust, and TypeScript.
• Debug failures across browser processes, Linux hosts, and distributed services using logs, metrics, traces, and profiling tools.
• Improve session reliability, startup time, latency, and resource efficiency with measurable validation.
• Write maintainable code, automated tests, and design notes; participate in reviews.
