Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join the Security Rules team. You will design and operate the software powering our Application Security offerings, including rate limiting and the Web Application Firewall, across a scale of millions of Internet properties.

You'll mentor engineers, shape architecture, and own complex projects end-to-end. We value 6+ years of experience, strong Rust/Go/C++ skills, and a track record of leading distributed systems with robust monitoring.

Qualificações

• 6+ years of relevant professional experience at a tech company
• Strong programming skills in Rust, Go, or C++ (systems level)
• Experience leading complex technical projects from ambiguity through delivery
• Experience building and operating distributed systems
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with empathy and ownership
• Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing designs
• Experience with monitoring, alerting, and debugging high-volume production systems
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Clickhouse, Memcached

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and maintain the software systems that comprise Cloudflare’s Application Security Product Offering such as Rate Limiting, Web Application Firewall and more
• Lead technical design and execution for complex projects with architecture, milestones, and delivery plans
• Collaborate with internal teams to design scalable solutions for difficult problems
• Raise the technical bar by reducing toil and guiding long-term engineering direction
• Review peers’ work to ensure high-quality, maintainable code
• Mentor engineers and help grow team ownership and scope
• Work with Rust, Go and various databases, Docker, and Kubernetes
