Job summary

Carrier is seeking an Advanced Supplier Quality Engineer in Porto, Portugal. The role spans project development and serial production, interfacing with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to drive supplier quality across the lifecycle.

The candidate will lead APQP/PPAP activities, manage supplier non-conformities, containment, and 8D investigations, and ensure launch readiness. Travel to supplier sites will be required, with a strong emphasis on prevention and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Quality Engineering.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001; IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 valued.
• Fluent Portuguese and English, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Own supplier quality across the product lifecycle from project to serial production.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and control plans with objective evidence and risk mitigation.
• Manage supplier non-conformities, containment, 8D, and escalation to protect production.
• Coordinate audits, supplier development, and changes with cross-functional teams.
• Coach internal teams and suppliers on prevention-focused quality methods.
