Carrier, in Porto, seeks a Quality Process Engineer to own manufacturing quality, drive process improvements and lead the industrialization of new products. The role covers partnering with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and R&D to ensure robust processes and early risk identification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Manufacturing or similar).
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Manufacturing Quality, Process Quality or Quality Engineering within an industrial manufacturing environment.
• Solid knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Experience supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) or industrialization activities.
• Fluency in English and Portuguese - mandatory

Responsibilities

• Act as the Quality representative within the manufacturing area, partnering daily with Production, Engineering, Supply Chain and R&D.
• Lead quality activities during the industrialization of new products, ensuring a smooth transition from development to serial production.
• Identify process risks early and implement preventive actions to avoid quality issues.
• Drive root cause investigations and lead cross-functional teams in implementing sustainable corrective actions.
• Monitor manufacturing quality performance and promote initiatives that improve process capability, efficiency and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards, internal procedures and customer requirements.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, quality ownership and operational excellence across the manufacturing organization.
• Coach and support production teams on quality best practices, helping develop a proactive quality mindset.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to solve complex manufacturing challenges and continuously improve production processes.
