Airswift is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer for a company developing a new floating offshore wind project. The role focuses on the analysis and design of offshore support structures, delivering technically sound and cost-effective engineering solutions in line with project schedules.

You will lead structural analysis, perform FE analyses, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structures into wider systems while maintaining high engineering

Qualificações

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive experience in structural analysis and design, with a focus on offshore or marine structures.
Experience with finite element analysis, structural modelling, and dynamic loading analysis.
Proficiency in structural engineering software such as STAAD Pro, SACS, or ANSYS.
Good technical knowledge of analysis software such as FEMAP or SESAM, together with Microsoft Office tools.
Proficiency in Python and MATLAB.
Good working awareness of codes and standards in floating offshore wind or a similar industry.
Understanding of dynamic loading conditions, structural integrity, and fatigue analysis.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data and make sound technical decisions.
Good professional verbal and written communication in English and Portuguese.

Responsabilidades

Lead structural analysis and design activities for support structures in line with project specifications and relevant industry standards.
Develop engineering designs and calculations for structural components, considering loading conditions, material properties, and fabrication constraints.
Carry out finite element analysis and other advanced analytical studies to evaluate structural performance and identify opportunities for optimisation.
Review engineering deliverables including drawings, reports, and specifications to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to integrate structural components into wider system designs.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and support continuous professional development within the team.
Support technical engagement with external stakeholders to help resolve engineering issues and address technical queries.
Plan and organise engineering activities effectively to support project schedules and delivery objectives.
