Job summary

Claranet in Lisbon, Portugal, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help build and operate reliable, scalable, and secure cloud platforms.

You will split your time 50/50 between operational excellence—keeping services up, incidents resolved, and reliability improving—and engineering projects—automation, observability, and platform improvements using Azure, Kubernetes, and Terraform. English communication essential.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of SRE/DevOps experience.
• Hands-on with Azure compute, networking, and storage.
• Experience with Kubernetes and AKS.
• Terraform or IaC experience.
• CI/CD and version control knowledge.
• Monitoring and observability with Datadog, Prometheus, or similar.
• English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain cloud and Kubernetes platforms for high availability.
• Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
• Design, deploy and manage scalable Azure infrastructure.
• Manage AKS Kubernetes environments.
• Develop and maintain Terraform IaC.
• Build and improve CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement observability with Datadog and related tools.
• Define reliability metrics (SLIs/SLOs) and error budgets.
• Collaborate with engineering and infra teams.
• Promote DevOps and continuous improvement.
