IRIUM Portugal is seeking a Senior SQL Server Database Administrator to own production database operations, optimize performance, and resolve incidents. The role emphasizes autonomy across the DBA lifecycle, including release management and cloud service exposure on Azure.

The ideal candidate has 5–10 years of SQL Server experience, strong T‑SQL, PowerShell scripting, and comfort working with Azure SQL, Azure DevOps, and UCD. Fluency in English and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualificações

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft SQL Server in production environments.
• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a comparable technical field.
• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server installation and configuration.
• Strong experience with Always‑On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering.
• Experience with T‑SQL scripting and performance tuning.
• Experience with Azure cloud services and Azure SQL services.

Responsabilidades

• Manage production database operations across the full DBA lifecycle.
• Diagnose and resolve complex SQL Server incidents; perform RCA and post‑mortem analysis.
• Lead incident management, production support and release management.
• Automate tasks with PowerShell; monitor storage accounts and performance.
• Collaborate with application, infra, and release teams; support deployments via Azure DevOps and UCD.
