MoonLake Immunotherapeutics is seeking a senior Legal & Compliance professional to manage the end-to-end contract lifecycle and support ISO and EU AI Act compliance within a dynamic biotech environment.

You will draft, review and negotiate a broad range of agreements, ensure terms align with standards, and identify risks. The role supports AI governance, regulatory documentation and cross-functional governance across the organisation.

Qualificações

• Law degree from a recognised University.
• Certification or training in ISO standards, information security, privacy or AI governance would be a plus
• Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act, GDPR and related digital/technology regulations, would be beneficial

Responsabilidades

• Draft, review, negotiate and finalise a broad range of commercial, vendor, confidentiality and other agreements.
• Ensure contractual terms align with company standards, policies, SOPs and legal requirements.
• Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend practical mitigations.
• Support AI governance, risk assessments, vendor reviews and compliance documentation.
• Provide guidance to business stakeholders on responsible use of AI tools and technologies.
• Maintain awareness of emerging AI legal trends and communicate developments.
• Support ISO-based management systems and promote governance across the organisation.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Quality and IT on strategic initiatives.

Job Purpose

To support the Legal & Compliance team by managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle, contributing to the implementation and continuous improvement of compliance and quality management systems (including ISO standards), and supporting the organisation's readiness and compliance with emerging regulatory frameworks such as the EU AI Act. The role will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure legal, regulatory and business requirements are addressed in a pragmatic and efficient manner.

Key Accountabilities

  • Draft, review, negotiate and finalise a broad range of commercial, vendor, confidentiality, consultancy and other corporate agreements
  
  
  • Ensure contractual terms align with company standards, policies, SOP´s and applicable legal requirements
  
  
  • Identify legal and compliance risks and recommend practical mitigation measures
  
  
  
  


• AI Governance, EU AI Act Compliance, ISO Implementation
  
  
  
  • Support the implementation of AI governance frameworks, policies and procedures
  
  
  • Assist with AI-related risk assessments, vendor reviews and compliance documentation
  
  
  • Provide guidance to business stakeholders on the responsible use of AI tools and technologies
  
  
  • Maintain awareness of emerging AI legal and regulatory trends and communicate relevant developments
  
  
  • Support the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of ISO-based management systems

• Legal Operations and Cross-Functional Support
  
  
  
  • Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, Quality and IT teams on strategic initiatives
  
  
  • Assist with legal research and preparation of guidance materials, templates and training
  
  
  • Support process improvement initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and standardisation within the Legal & Compliance function
  
  
  • Contribute to broader compliance and corporate governance activities as required
  
  
  
  

Your profile

Education:

• Law degree from a recognised University


• Additional certification or training in ISO standards, information security, privacy or AI governance would be a plus


• Familiarity with EU regulatory frameworks, including the EU AI Act, GDPR and related digital/technology regulations, would be beneficial

Experience:

• 5+ years of experience drafting and reviewing commercial agreements


• Knowledge of the EU AI Act and AI governance principles and experience supporting ISO implementation

Skills/knowledge/behavioural competencies:

• Strong attention to detail, organisation and stakeholder management skills


• Ability to provide practical, business-oriented advice and solutions


• Very good written and verbal communication skills in English

Work Location:

• 2 days a week in our brand new Porto Office
