Job summary

PRT8 Addvolt, S.A. in Porto, Portugal, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and maintain software powering connected, electrified fleet solutions. You will work across the full stack from device connectivity to customer dashboards, while building cloud infrastructure on AWS.

The role requires strong backend and frontend fundamentals, hands-on AWS expertise, Docker, and a passion for IoT and fleet energy management. Collaboration with product, hardware and data teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one backend language (Python/Node.js/Go) and modern frontend frameworks (React).
• Mandatory, hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and Linux environments.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases and building REST/GraphQL APIs.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and software testing practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and genuine interest in IoT and fleet/energy management.
• Good communication skills and cross-functional collaboration.
• Fluent in English; Portuguese is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain software powering connected, electrified fleet solutions.
• Work across full stack (frontend, backend, APIs) and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
• Collaborate with product, hardware and data teams to ship reliable features.
• Write clean, tested code and contribute to CI/CD and system architecture improvements.
• Troubleshoot issues across the stack including production incidents.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and foster knowledge sharing.
