Thought Machine, a London-founded fintech, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer II in its Lisbon Engineering Hub. You will tackle ambiguous technical challenges, shape the long-term direction of Thought Machine’s platforms, and deliver scalable, high-impact contributions as a senior IC.

You will define engineering standards, bridge senior leadership and technical teams, and mentor engineers to raise execution velocity while maintaining quality and robustness of cloud-native systems.

Qualificações

• Extensive experience building large-scale cloud-native distributed systems in Go and/or Python.
• Proven track record as a senior individual contributor shaping architecture and production environments.
• Excellent communication and ability to translate business goals into robust technical solutions.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build solutions for large-scale problems using Go/Python and cloud-native architecture.
• Define engineering standards and practices to scale developer velocity and quality.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor senior engineers without people management duties.
