Senior Software Engineer - Automation | Future Healthcare
At Future Healthcare we believe that technology, when applied effectively, transforms healthcare. We are looking for someone who shares this vision and who wants to be part of the team that is building the solutions of the future in the corporate healthcare sector.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with architects and systems analysts to understand software requirements and contribute to solution design
- Design and develop new features and enhancements focused on Automation, Workflows, and AI projects, while evolving shared backend components used across process automation and integration solutions
- Mediate cross-team technical dependencies, ensuring that changes in one area do not introduce issues or duplicate efforts in another
- Use low-code platforms to develop automation modules, as well as Java and PHP-based components
- Organize and prioritize work effectively
- Contribute to the technical growth and mentoring of junior team members
What we need from you
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in similar roles
- Broad systems background, with experience working across different technology stacks within the same organization. Strong backend development experience, with the ability to understand and discuss architectures across multiple technologies (e.g. Java, PHP, TypeScript), without necessarily being the deepest technical expert in each
- Experience with process/workflow engines (BPMN-based platforms or equivalent) and automation/integration tools (low-code platforms), such as Flowable and n8n
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and strong Java development skills
- Familiarity with API design, integration patterns, and event-driven architectures
- Solid understanding of relational databases, data modelling, and query optimization
- Comfortable with Git and collaborative development workflows
- Experience using GenAI development tools, such as Claude Code, while maintaining strong analytical and critical thinking skills and a commitment to writing high-quality, maintainable code rather than simply code that works
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines is a plus
- Understanding of software testing practices and code quality standards
- Experience working with Agile methodologies
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong team player with initiative and excellent communication skills
- Pragmatic mindset, with the ability to balance technical excellence and delivery constraints while avoiding unnecessary complexity
- Fluency in English (mandatory)
What we offer
- Integration into an innovation team with real impact on the healthcare sector
- A growing project with exposure to international markets
- A culture of autonomy, responsibility and continuous learning
If you have experience in this role and enjoy working at the intersection of healthcare, technology and business, We’d like to meet you.
