Hexa Consulting in Porto is seeking a Senior Smart Automation and Agentic AI Engineer to design, build and industrialise intelligent automation solutions for complex digital processes, working with Dataiku, AI Agents, LLM integrations and cloud-based data workflows.

You will collaborate with IT teams to define architectures, implement data pipelines, and mentor junior staff while promoting responsible AI use and governance. Strong English communication is required.

We are looking for a Senior Smart Automation and Agentic AI Engineer to design, build and industrialise intelligent automation solutions for complex digital processes. This opportunity involves working with Dataiku, AI Agents, LLM integrations and cloud-based data workflows, in close collaboration with IT teams responsible for the applications and systems involved.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Design intelligent automation solutions using the Dataiku platform.
• Define automation architectures combining data pipelines, workflow orchestration, application integration and AI Agents.
• Integrate language models into automated workflows through Dataiku LLM Mesh.
• Develop AI Agents capable of executing or supporting tasks within automated processes.
• Build orchestration logic between AI Agents, data pipelines and application systems.
• Create and maintain automated pipelines and workflows in Dataiku.
• Integrate automation solutions with existing systems through APIs and services.
• Apply industrialisation practices such as code versioning, monitoring, deployment automation and workflow governance.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams responsible for the systems involved in automated processes.
• Define integration mechanisms with existing applications.
• Contribute to technical standards and integration patterns.
• Support the evolution of the Smart Automation and Agentic AI capability.
• Define development and architecture standards for intelligent automation solutions.
• Mentor more junior technical profiles.
• Promote good practices in automation and responsible use of LLMs.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5 to 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, data engineering, automation engineering or AI-enabled solution development.
• Strong experience designing and delivering automation solutions in enterprise technology environments.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary IT teams and translate process needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Experience supporting technical standards, architecture guidelines and reusable delivery practices.
• Ownership, autonomy and accountability in complex delivery contexts.
• Clear communication, technical documentation discipline and a collaborative mindset.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
