Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking software engineers to join a team disrupting the customer experience industry. You will work on a micro-service architecture with vertical teams, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to scalable, secure APIs and services.

You’ll collaborate with Product and other engineering groups to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced agile environment. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in cloud-based software development, strong OO design, and experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ,

Qualifications

• BS/MS Degree in Computer Science, Applied Math, or Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in software development for cloud-based applications.
• Strong experience with the design and development of web applications.
• Strong OO programming skills and experience with cloud databases.
• Proficiency with Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot.
• Deep understanding of SOA and API design and Event-driven architectures.
• Experience with microservices, APIs, and message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Experience with storage technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch).
• Experience scaling global web applications and advocating for automated testing and CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Develop the best product on the market, working independently and in small teams.
• Build scalable, stable, and user-friendly products to support growth.
• Operate in a modern agile software engineering environment with Git-based workflows, staged releases, and extensive testing.
• Tackle challenging technical problems and apply hands-on coding as needed.
• Develop and maintain microservices and APIs.
• Collaborate with Product and other teams to ensure solutions meet requirements.
• Guide and influence the team technically, documenting architecture and coding clearly.
• Design scalable solutions to support business functions and product goals, navigating platform limits.
• Create integrations between Talkdesk and external systems using APIs and middleware.
