Planck Technologies in Portugal is seeking a Software Engineer to join an international team and contribute to cloud-native solutions that support millions of parcel deliveries across Europe. You will design, build, and evolve microservices, APIs, and integrations, focusing on scalability and reliability.

The role requires strong Java and Spring Boot experience, cloud-native know-how, AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and fluent Portuguese and English. Hybrid work near Lisbon with some client-site days.

Qualificações

• 4–8 years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong Java and Spring Boot experience.
• Proven experience developing microservice-based architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native software development.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event‑driven architectures, and streaming technologies.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and caching (Hazelcast).
• Frontend development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills, and team‑oriented attitude.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join an international team and contribute to the development of cloud-native solutions that support millions of parcel deliveries across Europe. You will play a key role in building and evolving scalable digital products, integrating systems, microservices, and business-critical logistics processes.

Requirements:

• Between 4 and 8 years of professional experience in software development, preferably within cloud-native environments and microservice-based architectures.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience developing microservice-based architectures.
• Solid understanding of cloud-native software development.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance.
• Experience with REST APIs, asynchronous messaging, event‑driven architectures, and streaming technologies.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL.
• Experience with caching technologies, ideally Hazelcast.
• Frontend development experience, preferably with Angular.
• Experience with automated testing and CI/CD practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Strong analytical mindset, problem‑solving skills, and team‑oriented attitude.
• Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
