AgileEngine, LLC in Lisboa seeks a Senior Shopify Engineer for a proactive talent pool. You will architect, develop, and maintain high-performance eCommerce solutions on Shopify Plus, working with a community of senior engineers in a remote-first environment.

You will drive platform architecture, Shopify Plus support, and rigorous code reviews while shaping the eCommerce roadmap. This role emphasizes understanding the why behind the platform and ongoing engineering excellence.

Qualificações

• 4+ years of professional Shopify development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus and its features.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and modern development methodologies.
• Experience with page performance optimization and CDNs.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve site issues using tools.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer-first mindset, patience and adaptability.
• Familiarity with Jira and collaborative development environments.

Responsabilidades

• Develop key system components and identify reusable modules.
• Perform deep code analysis, patches, and new platform features.
• Research platform capabilities for the eCommerce roadmap.
• Engage with Product Management on system design and capabilities.
• Provide first-level Shopify technical support and incident postmortems.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and validation.
• Ensure security and performance best practices with the team.
• Support Project Management with effort estimates and planning.
• Proactively identify and remove technical roadblocks.
